As the new owner and business manager at Wanaka Joinery, Kent is excited to lead the business into a new era.
Kent spent most of his early career in design engineering progressing to running the design department and moving on to work in sales and project management. His colleagues and clients, he says, would describe him as genuine, down to earth and honest.
Kent has always been passionate about DIY and joinery. He has built 2 houses and project managed the process from design to moving in! He likes to take a hands-on approach – building his own kitchens several times! It runs in the family – his parents owned a cabinet making business that specialised in joinery and kitchens for motorhomes and horse trucks, so Kent is no stranger to the business.
What attracted Kent to Wanaka Joinery. Apart from the obvious connection with his passions, Kent loves the architecture around Wanaka. He is excited to be part of supply of key features – kitchens, bathrooms and more – of new builds and renovations in the area. And there are other bonuses – joinery is one of the only trades where you get to stay warm and dry!!
When Kent is not working hard at Wanaka Joinery he enjoys outdoor pursuits, particularly mountain biking and snowboarding. Living in Wanaka means he and his family can get out of the city and enjoy everything Central Otago has to offer.
