Some pretty cool research by the Building Research Association of New Zealand is useful when considering whether it is actually worth the time, effort and cost to retro fit the double-glazing. Essentially they discovered that it largely depended on the climate in which you live – makes sense right? Auckland, maybe not so worth it, Dunedin or Invercargill, logically would be a good investment.
